The Kareenga Prison located near Lara in Victoria is a medium security, standalone correctional facility providing accommodation for just under 300 male prisoners.
The works on the 20-acre site next to Barwon and Marngoneet prisons consisted of the construction of 14 separate buildings and associated infrastructure including Accommodation Units, Gatehouse and Visitors Centre, Management and Sally Port, Administration and Health, Offender Services, Industries and Maintenance, Recreation Centre.
The system also has intelligent Innotech ATOM Data Acquisition and Management software for trending and reporting on energy usage from an array of energy meters.
