OneSKY is a collaboration between the Department of Defence and Airservices Australia – a government-owned organisation that provides air traffic management and air navigation support to the aviation industry. Under OneSky, the Department of Defence and Airservices Australia have combined their individual air traffic systems into one civil and military platform.
The BMS manages the control and monitoring of building HVAC services, electrical energy metering and lighting system across the One Sky Equipment Room project and provides the facility representatives and their agents the ability to remotely access and manage these systems.
The One Sky project BMS system is designed to provide an N+1 redundancy for the mechanical plant. The BMS redundancy of N+1 is achieved by the provision of two independent control systems operating in parallel. Each stream is provided with a dedicated independent chiller plant, CRAC units and associated ventilation fans and BMS control system.
An overarching supervisory BMS computer provides a graphical interface to both parallel BMS systems and monitors secondary systems such as power generation, lighting, sump pumps and electrical energy meters providing the ability for remote monitoring and external alarming notification.
